Who We Are & What We Do

After School Club

On Mondays & Thursdays, Thieves Run facilitates kids running TTRPGs for kids from 3pm to 5pm!

The benefits of TTRPGs are not exclusively for adults, and by giving kids the resources, skills, and coaching to become not just good players but good GMs, we plant the seeds for a lifetime of healthy fun at the table!

$15 per seat, 18 seats per event...

One-off Events

Election Day Events, Semester Kick Offs, Summer Parties, Saturday Workshops... we'll offer a variety of one and done or seasonal events outside of our weekly afterschool programming.

While each event may have its specific focus, timeline, capacity, and pricing, as long as Dice Goblins is in the name you can be the underlying theme will be kids running TTRPGs for fellow kids...

Summer Camps

Cali has been a specialty camp vendor at the Jewish Community Center for the last three years, teaching kids how to play and run TTRPGs, and now Thieves Run is gearing up to tackle a D&D and TTRPG specialty camp of our own.

Programming, availability, and pricing details to come...

Age

—

We find age alone is not the most important metric for D&D enjoyment, but in general Dice Goblins is geared for 3rd Grade through Middle School.

Listening Ability

—

More important than age is being willing and able to listen to what everyone else is saying while keeping up with what is happening in the story.

Collaborative Spirit

—

Equally important to listening ability is a kid's willingness to contribute creatively to the group and the story without taking over.

A Good Fit

—

Just like with adults, kids will have the best time whenever their interests and play styles align with the rest of the party.

Consent & Breaks

—

Consent is important to us as well as to TTRPGs, and a kid will never be forced to participate in an activity if they don't want to.

We will always have some sort of alternative activity that kids can do as a break from the main activity, such as free draw or building with legos.

Teenagers

—

All kids tend care to a certain degree how old the other kids in their group will be, but for teenagers it tends to matter even more.

If the age range of the other participants is of particular interest to you or your kid, you can send cali@thievesrun.com an inquiry!

Other Systems

—

Dungeons & Dragons is not the only system we offer up to the Dice Goblins. While D&D is the most popular TTRPG, it is often not the easiest to play.

Many kids benefit from and prefer simpler systems, which we gladly offer and provide!

Our Staff

—

Each event will have two or more staff members who have completed background checks and have been hand selected by Thieves Run. If an event has extra or substitute staff who have not completed a background check, we will provide that information in the event description or in a text/email communication.

Pick-up & Drop-off

—

Street parking along Adams Street is typically available, while our main entrance faces Story Avenue. Dice Goblins and check-in will occur in the backroom of Thieves Run.

Pickup will be in the same back room, and only adults on our pickup list will be allowed to pickup a kid.

Safety

—

Thieves Run has a makerspace as well as cool but dangerous props such as swords.

All dangerous items are to be locked in the office makerspace during the hours of a Dice Goblins event.

The kitchen and all kitchen equipment will be off-limits as well

.

Snacks

—

Thieves Run has a variety of snacks available for purchase on site (chips, drinks, ice cream bars, popcorn, beef sticks, cookies, etc...).

At the time of writing this, we are able to allow outside food, but once we are able to make our own food, the health department will not let us allow outside food.

Thieves Run Activities

—

There may be other events occurring at Thieves Run simultaneous to Dice Goblins, and all parties will be expected to respect the space and resources required for respective activites.
